The funny thing about Twitter is that, even if no one saw Year One, plenty have seen your comments about it. A few gossip blogs and minor news outlets picked up on it, and although your name isn't big enough to cause any sort of scandal, this doesn't look good.

It's nice to have a way to make yourself seem more personable and friendly to your fans, but to bad-mouth previous projects, no matter how they were received, is unprofessional and unbecoming. Don't listen to people call it a "breath of fresh air" when you make comments like this. Maybe an established actor can get away with mouthing off about their projects, but not someone who's barely made a name for herself yet.

I also understand that you've had some follow up posts calling you "problematic" for belittling depression. Let's try to make your disdain for these people a little less obvious. You're an actress. Try to pretend you respect other people.

Jade, I know the last few weeks have been terrible for you personally. This should be an exciting time for us career-wise: Johanna is your biggest role and will give you the attention that you need to launch yourself into other roles. But I know that the fan reactions in the week since the casting announcement haven't been so good. My assistant showed me some of the tweets that people have been sending you, and I'm sorry. I know that you'll say you "don't give a shit," but I have a hard time imagining that tweet after tweet telling you that you're wrong for the part because you're "an ugly fatass" or a "talentless slut" wouldn't get to you at all.

At the same time, whatever you say, I know that your father's passing last month is wearing on you. You'll probably tell me to fuck off for that too, but this might be a time to avoid Twitter rather than reading what the fans have to say, especially late at night. Take care of yourself. Training starts soon, and you need to be in good shape.

Do what you do best: show them they're wrong. But don't do that by mouthing off and isolating yourself from the fanbase that can make or break you in the franchise. View this as a challenge. You can do this.

I saw you recently passed 100k followers on Twitter. Congratulations. Is that something you congratulate someone for? I'm too old for this.

You're probably getting used to these emails and can predict what I'm going to say, but humor me. You're part of a franchise now. That means that you have more people to answer to than just me.

I know that you're excited about Catching Fire and are getting a lot of unprecedented attention about it, but be careful what you post about filming. You know as well as I do what's written in your contract about confidentiality. It's not as if this is a major spoiler for the film, but still be careful about what you tweet/insta/tumblr/whatever else you're doing these days, ESPECIALLY if you're going to be suggestive about it. "Taking off your clothes for money" might seem cute, but you have a lot of young fans now watching your every move. People are paying attention, which includes film executives. Let's not use this time in a negative way. Not all press is good press.

Well, you can say goodbye to a part on next year's True Detective, if that was a possibility before. Remember those talks we've had about a little thing called "professionalism"? This is not how you do it.

We've already discussed the "blind items" that had popped up during the filming of Spring Breakers about how you and Lyra had some "friction" (I say friction because I think we both know how that probably actually went given that we only barely struck "antagonizing people" off your special skills on your C.V.). Of course today your tweets seemed to have confirmed that, so well done. Gossip blogs might love this type of news, but the interest stops there. There's a market for this kind of petty drama amongst actors, but it's not with the types of people that we're hoping will cast you in the future.

Since you've made it perfectly clear that your Twitter is here to stay, we're going to keep hoping that the media (and especially your young fans) continues to view you as "refreshingly sassy" or whatever they're calling it these days, rather than viewing you as a demanding diva who's petty about her co-workers. You walk a fine line, Jade. Don't flirt with it too much. Be careful.

I am happy to see that you've been feeling charitable these days. The ALS Icebucket challenge is for a wonderful cause and has raised a lot of money and awareness. And to avoid being completley crude, it's great to capitalize on that and make yourself and your support visible, especially when it can be retweeted/re-whatever you call it on Tumblr.

But did you have to do it in a white-tshirt and BRALESS?

Honestly, Jade. You're smarter than this. Yes, your donation got some attention. But this is not exactly the kind of attention that your The Hunger Games team are likely to be excited about. You've even been immortalized on Tumblr, so congratulations.

Needless to say, if you're looking to become a serious leading lady and not be seen as a big-breasted bimbo, this is not the type of image that we want casting directors to be seeing. Let's make fully-clothed charitable donations in the future, even if it's too late to undo this one.
